The Stroboscopic technique of rotational velocity measurement operates on a Photoelectric Pulse – counting methods, except that the pulses involved consists of flashes of light generated electronically and whose frequency is adjustable so that it can matched with the frequency of occurrence of some feature on the rotary wheel . The rotating body appears stationary when the frequencies of the light pulses and body features are in Synchronism.
The experimental setup consists of the following specifications :
- Stroboscope.
- Motor with wheel.
- Motor speed controller.
